Bio: Born to a mortal mother and elvish father, Ryn is a halfling. As such, 

she is gifted in the art of utilizing magic and, yes, her ears are a little 

pointy... though not as much as the ears of full-blooded elves. This fiery 

haired girl grew up with connections to both the Mortal Realm and the rather

secretive Hidden Realm, the latter of which is home to all sorts of 'mythological'

creatures and beings. While in the Mortal Realm (which non-humans often refer

to as the 'Apparent' Realm) Ryn uses a magical glamour to hide any features (such 

as her ears) and make her appear completely human to anyone around her.

Ryn mainly lives in the Apparent Realm and makes her living as a teacher and also writes

fantasy novels when she has the time. So far she's published only one book but it was one of the top NY Times 'Best Sellers' for several weeks, which is an accomplishment she is quite proud of. Her life in the Apparent Realm is quite mundane on the surface, though this seemingly normal young woman has another role to play that is vastly different from her human persona.

Among others, Ryn was chosen as a 'Guardian', a title given to those whom are tasked with the job of ensuring their home, the Hidden Realm, stays that way - hidden. They are the reason that supernatural beings go unnoticed, the reason that elven society can only be found in books, movies and video games. Some teams are devoted to combing through such media to ensure no true details are significant enough to lead to their actual discovery, while others like Ryn take a more hands-on approach. Ryn is the sort of Guardian that the Hidden Realm officials send out for battle - in essence, she is a knight or perhaps even an assassin, if needed.

Her job usually revolves around spying on dangerous people that know too much about the Hidden Realm, hunting down those who betray the oath of secrecy, sabotaging enemy plans, and defending the Hidden lands in times of crisis. 

​

So yeah, maybe her little apartment seems a bit sleepy and dull, and her students are convinced she's so dedicated to her studies that she has no social life... but that's okay. They haven't seen the other side of the coin. 

​

Yet.
