"If you are willing to pay the price, I can give you whatever your heart desires."
Name: Ariana "Ari" Cross
Apparent Age: 22
Age: 255
Species: Half Demon (Cambion)
Personality: Clever, Elegant, Sophisticated, Quirky
Bio: Growing up, she had always known she was different. It wasn't a secret her parents had kept from her, but even if they had, she would have known. Sure, she looked like all the other kids she played with as a child, and her younger cousin Clarissa had always idolized her for behaving like the daughter of a Duchess should. She found politics to be a loathsome topic yet was always up-to-date about current news, moved with nothing short of grace, and excelled at almost any task given to her. It all seemed so natural for her that those around her were either in awe of her or secretly despised her. The English Nobles were proud to have such a promising young Duchess in their ranks.
But she wasn't like them.
Unless, of course, they happened to have one human and one demon for parents as well.
Born to English Duchess Lucy Cross and the Great Duke of Hell Dantalion, she was a Duchess of both the Human Realm and Hell. Lucy had formed a contract with Dantalion in order to take revenge on her sister Anna for past transgressions. Although romance between a master and servant rarely happened, a consensual relationship at least, Lucy and Dantalion had fallen into a relationship that was both unheard of and somewhat tragic, depending on your view of humanity. After Ariana had been born and was in her early teens, Dantalion made the decision to change Lucy into a demon instead of taking her soul.
They were able to stay in the Mortal Realm for a few more years, until Ariana had reached the point in her life where she would no longer age. But once Ariana was an adult, the family had to stage their deaths and leave for Hell before the humans around them began to notice that the noble family remained untouched by time while the rest of them lost a little more beauty with each passing year.
Ariana's soul was also unique. Although she was half human, her demonic genes were more prominent than her human ones. Because she was half demon, her soul could not be stolen or contracted by another demon. Her human blood had its perks too though; while demons could eat human food, it didn't satisfy hunger. In Ari's case though, eating human food satisfied her cravings for souls somewhat, allowing her to go longer periods of time in between each soul consumption.
...Which meant more time for her to explore the Mortal Realm and enjoy herself between 'jobs'.
