Writing Reveries
"Magical beasts aren't all that scary if you get to know them. Still dangerous... but less scary."
Name: Rook Ainsley
Apparent Age: Twenties
Age: 24 (Flexible. Could be centuries old, depending on plot.)
Species: Gifted Human (Mage/Sorceress/Witch)
Occupation: Beast Tamer/Protector
Personality: Gentle with her charges but has little patience for
ignorant humans that would harm them; Intelligent; Spitfire.
Bio: In centuries past, monstrous creatures and magic were prevalent in
the minds of people far and wide, mostly due to a fear of what they didn't
understand. In the modern world, however, such became little more than fantasy...
to most, at least.
In the age of modern society, those who truly had a broader understanding of the many strange truths of the world were rarer than they used to be. Such individuals are attuned to the magical world and their lives are deeply involved with it.
For Rook, her specialty lies in connecting with 'mythical' beasts. Ghoulish hellhounds will curl up beside her for petting. Dragons will hold their deadly attacks at bay and even allow her to ride on their backs as they fly. Fairies and various spirit creatures will come to play and help her when she needs work done. All sorts of beings that most people didn't believe existed were the common neighbors and friends for her.
Due to this, Rook dedicates her life to protecting these special creatures. Both in a physical sense as well as safeguarding the knowledge of their existence to prevent such creatures from being hunted or used by humans for selfish reasons. She is fiercely protective of her charges, and should anyone dare to threaten them... she doesn't mind shedding some fool's blood.
