Bio: There are many things in this world that are not as they seem. It takes a keen eye and an open heart to fully appreciate everything around you. If you lose your sense of imagination you will have little hope of ever connecting to the more mysterious and mystical elements that exist here on this earth. For this reason, children are much more adept at seeing a fuller world than adults are, despite the common held belief that it is the adults who are more knowledgeable.
For some though, that connection never dissipates for some individuals (rare as they are) and instead they become even more tied to the ways of magic, even learn how to interact with it and use it. These people are who we refer to as 'witches'.
Arlynn is one such individual who never lost his touch with the mystical world. Growing up, he had spent a great deal of time learning everything he could, and while his school courses did teach him a lot, it was the guidance of an eccentric shopkeeper who had taught him the more interesting and unconventional studies. He learned botany, the histories of mythical creatures, alchemy, and various spells from the woman and in doing so became something of an apprentice to her.
Eventually, after graduating school and earning enough money to move out on his own, Arlynn bought a charming cottage with plenty of land and privacy in town, choosing to both live and work from there.
What sort of work does he do? Well, he grants wishes... sort of. Not in a genie sort of way, but for a price he is willing to assist clients with any issues they may have. Arlynn reserves the right to refuse service, but most of the time he doesn't encounter any desires that he feels disinclined to grant. It could be as simple as a helping a client realize what is ailing them, the recovery of a lost item, or to solve some sort of mystery. On the other hand, he has also been contracted for more dangerous tasks such as to banish evil spirits, or the removal of curses.
His shop is protected by a special barrier that attracts those who are in need of his service. Clients often show up appearing confused but report feeling 'drawn' to the location for an unknown reason. Figuring out what his guests need is a great source of enjoyment for Arlynn, and often he knows why a client has come to him long before the clients themselves realize it.
